A friendly hello to all!

New year in Coin

I went to the Andalusian village of Coin in December and January 2007. I didnt expect too much but the first night I was greeted with locals wearing national costumes similar to the celebrations at home. A very colourful night ensued!! with a grand array of Spanish costumes. We had a fantastic meal and afterwards suitably refreshed we went on to see one of the many towns carnivals in the market place. The atmosphere exceeded our expectation by far. A huge crowd of about 30,000 filled the area where we drank danced and generally joined in with the celebrations. With party poppers popping and plastic string flying we were all happily covered in champagne in the middle of the crowd. It was hardly possible not to get wet, as the Spaniards no showered us tourists. Communication was no problem either as during the course of the celebrations we were invited to five different parties. We were even invited to go fishing the next day. At midnight the church bells struck with a compliment of a lazer light show. The twelve second countdown before new year and the consumption of one grape per strike of the clock. The customary grapes were eaten and champagne corks popping and lots of bubbly flowing. With confetti thrown high and rockets fired high into the starry night sky the new year began.....A time for friends and lovers.

So with happy thoughts and wonderful times ahead Christmas lights and santa in mind...time for home.

Ihr fliegt völlig stressfrei mit dem Flugzeug nach Malaga.

Von hier aus sind es dann nur noch ca. 450 Km bis zur Faro Bike Week.

Das ist eine entspannte Tagesetappe unter der Sonne Andalusiens.

Vor und nach dem Event könnt ihr auf unserer Finca “el Ranchito” zelten.
